Aug 2019: I've been living here for 5 years now. I really love this place. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. Maintenance such as pest control, battery changes, public place cleaning, and repainting is done regularly. Rent is very reasonable. Highly recommended!! Review from Google
Aug 2019: This apartment's staff is very kind, and they support us quickly when something happen. Review from Google
Jul 2019: The lady's in the office are very helpful with all the papers works. They make sure that I understand everything step by step. I'm so grateful that I came here. Great neighborhood and great people. Review from Google
Jul 2019: Great customer service in the office. They are very helpful and wonderful. Review from Google
Jul 2019: I have been living here for 3 years and love it! Great and friendly staff!! Maintenance works in a timely manner. Really recommend. :D Review from Google
Feb 2019: The student apartments are GREAT. They are very spacious and very clean . You have to make sure you give maintenance updates about the apartment upkeep and THEY WILL FULFILL YOUR REQUEST . The staff is pleasant and take concerns seriously but you have to be consistent and patient . The room rent doesn’t go up much each time you renew your lease . For example, you’d sign your lease for $495 and by the time you renew it would be $509, then when you renew again it’ll be $525 and EVERYTHING is included so you can’t beat that price ! The noise levels are LOW all year around . The outside of the apartment is kept up well all year around . The packages never “go missing “ in the office or outside your door they are SAFE ! I just wish they had a consistent system where they let you know you have a package in the office . I’ve been here since Sep 2016 and ran into 2 minor issues with residents and they were handled swiftly Review from Google
Jan 2019: I just called up there and the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude!!! if you are this rude to people inquiring about your home. I can only imagine how you are towards your tenants! Review from Google
May 2018: Apartments are terrible. Maintenance staff doesn’t fix things correctly. The staff in the office are terrible and their swindle their residents. Yes! It is very close to NCSU but still at least live somewhere where the office takes pride in their tenets. Also I herd that some residents had bed bugs. Review from Google

Apr 2018: Do not live here unless you like roaches and bugs. They are everywhere! The most irritating thing is that they do pest control too often, and you are required to get everything out of the kitchen and bathroom when they are doing that. Imagining you come home very late and feel tired but still have to move a lot of stuff out, or else you have to pay ~$150-200. And trust me, their pest control never works. I can definitely say it is the worst year in my life, and I can not wait to move out! Review from Google
Apr 2018: They are petty, and alters the lease agreement at will. I can't have a grill. They try to charge tenants for anything they want. Roaches are taking over. Pool is always closed or full. Exterminators basically come all the time and you have to take everything out your kitchen and bathroom or be fined. They can the balcony and fine obsurd amounts to remove things you don't want moved. This is the last time I sign a lease to live here. Review from Google
Oct 2017: Staff is friendly but the apt are old and need some upgrades. Review from Google
Sep 2017: Apt are good if u can get a good one... Otherwise they are okay... One Bed apt are old... The one where I live had uneven flooring. The wallpaper of walls is peeling off.. The front door, windows were not cleaned when we moved in. The leasing office staff is okay.. Not much customer friendly but can be dealt with.. The good thing was, when we told them that a tile in the bathroom is cracked they immediately sent a repairman and he repaired it quickly... One down side is the floor between the ground level and first level Apartments is I guess not very good because u can continuously hear the footsteps of the people who live upstairs which is kind of irritating sometimes... Overall I can only say is, if u are too short on money and are desperate to have a house come here... Otherwise wait a bit and search for a better home... Review from Google
Jul 2017: don't move here unless you really need to. The houses are very old, full of roaches, very small kitchen ( the apartment no way looks like the one you see in the property management office). The pest control person also told us that the walls were repainted without scraping off the roach eggs and there is no way to stop the roaches. Worst of all, the property manager is extremely difficult to deal with. She thinks every person who has a question wants to fight with her and every time you have a conversation with her, your day is ruined ( trust me on that! ). Here is an example of a conversation with her: Me: Why has $$$ been detucted from our deposit when we left the apartment clean? Manager: The apartment was dirty Me: What was left dirty? Manager: Everything. The apartment was very dusty, there was trash lying in front of your house, the Review from Google
Jun 2017: I would not recommend this place at all for one roaches lots and lots of bugs the more they treat the more they come out and it really hurts because I cannot have company at all because I'm ashamed of bugs that I was not the cause of I feel they should of told me before... I never grew up having bugs I don't cook because they was in stove and microwave my apartment is infested with them I bought all new furniture when I moved in and have to get rid of everything I bought when I move it's the worst place I have ever lived and also the neighbors do not listen to anything they say they have things outside their apt looking very ghetto that's another reason I don't have company I will admit the office people have been nice and did work with me to move in but now I see why if you can help it find another place my kids will remember this that Their Review from Google
Jan 2017: I went to check them with the "30-day satisfaction guarantee". They are pretty vague about this. The lady in the lease office doesn't even know about this. I thought that I am free to go in a 30 days period after I move in. It turns out that I am wrong. Just pay attention when you are signing the lease. Review from Google
Jan 2017: I have lived here more than 2 years, if you decide to live here you should keep all copies of contract and receipts. I found they make a duplicate contract with different termination date. They either forged my signature or simply changed the termination date on original contract. Also when you have some issues with roommate and ask for their help, they decided to call the roommate that I have issue with and made me and that roommate to talk face to face in the office. So now if there is other conflicts and I feel unsafe talking to roommate, then I just solve it by myself. Maintenance people are nice and friendly but those three Hispanic ladies working in the leasing office are the meanest people you can ever find in the world. They ignore a lot and treat students like some kind of dumb ass. This is shittest apartment you can ever get.
Dec 2016: Only move here if this is absolutely your last resort....here's how i sum up my 90 (little over 90 days) days with parkwood village. Horrible experience. Everything started off well. I had an issue with toilette, maintence came over, believe his name was mike, stole $45 I had dropped between the toilette and bath tub earlier that day. My Screen door was shot and someone also attempted to break into the apartment. Responding officer had stated that apartment was a problem apartment. I had lived there less that 60 days. After that I moved into a hotel to figure things out. I contacted the PROPERTY manger XXXX (the larger female) daily for a week and never received a call back and she never was able to come to the phone. Review from 12/28/16 on Google
Sep 2015: I have been a Parkwood resident for one year. The staff are not professional at all. The property manager overhears our conversation and starts to make statements without even coming out of her office, and unorganized.Maintenance staff are nice however they are slow, I don't get my request done on time sometime 3 days later. Neighborhood is horrible I smell weed, and fights every week so scary. The apartments are not insulated properly you can hear your neighbors like if they are inside your house, disturbing. I wanted to do a party and was told I had to pay for the room next to the pool, which it should be complementary for residents. Overall the only good thing about living in parkwood is the location. Aug 2014: Will keep this short. Pics are below so you can view for yourself. Moved to Parkwood in 2010. Was a good move at the time but my husband and I are lookin foward to moving next Spring. The staff are very unorganized. The pics below shows that I got a notice today for " not renewing my lease on time " but I renewed my lease 8-26-14 for 11-1-14 to 4-30-15 ( proof is below). And they should have the orginal new lease on file but would not surprise me if they lost it. Also had a similar issue last year when the staff misplaced my rent payment and then put a late rent notice on my door. Of course I kept my receipt and proved them wrong. Jul 2014: I lived there for 1.5 years and found shoddy maintenance work which although prompt could not do much with the bugs and roaches around the place. The apartments a too old, wall are thin and the apartment is not properly insulated so you get high utility charges. The worst is the service level which is an after thought at its best.Rent increase are yearly without anything to show for. From personal experience I would not recommend parkwood, not because of any safety issues but because the management might end up not returning your deposit after your lease ends citing x,y,z factors.I am not aware of any other property management people doing this or if this is a one off case.In any case just make sure you discuss all particulars while moving in and document the condition during move-in. Sep 2013: I have lived here for over a year and love it. It's close to the NCSU Campus which provides great access to the Wolfline. There are no parking issues; Apartments for a very affordable and friendly price to correlate with the given amenities. Noise is rarely a problem, and the landscaping is attractive and really provides for a harmonious, peaceful, and loveable stay here in Parkwood. The neighborhood offers a nice, grassy, residential area, conducive to safety and welcoming to people of all ages, races, and ethnicities. The interior is nice as well, and only once have I had a maintenance issue, which was actually due to the negligence of the tenant of the adjacent unit. Nevertheless, the issue was immediately resolved. It's a great value for the quality of living, and its location! Anonymous review from 9/11/2013 on Apartment Ratings
Jul 2013: I HAVE BEEN A RESIDENT OF PARKWOOW VILLAGE FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS AND I HAVE ENCOUNTERED NO PROBLEMS. THE STAFF HERE IS VERY COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL. EVERYTHING IS DONE IN A TIMELY FASHION AND VERY PROFESSIONALLY. I TRULY ENJOY THE QUIET ATMOSPHERE AND HOW COURTEOUS MY NEIGHBORS ARE. ACCESS TO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IS EXCELLENT. MAINTENANCE OF THE APTS AND THE GROUNDS IS EXCELLENT. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A WONDERFUL HOME ENVIRONMENT; THEN LOOK NO MORE. I TRULY BELIEVE YOU WILL ENJOY LIVING HERE. Jul 2013: I only lived in Parkwood Village for a year...but during that year I have never experienced all the things mentioned here. I think someone or some people are just upset about the way things ended so the choose to bad mouth this community to deter people from moving in. Honestly I am trying to move back to this very same community because I LOVED IT THERE!!!! The location is perfect has everything you will neefrom food to entertainment, really close to campus for NCSU students , have 3 or more Wolfline service buses in the area plus the Wolfprowl and Nightwolf. Excellent school options and very quiet for the most part. There are college students who stay here and/or in the area so you will hear some noise ...but ONLY on the weekends or during a break/holiday...these kids work hard ..they deserve some fun time.
