Jul 2019: I lived here while going to LSU. Worst roommates possible. All of them either got evicted for not paying rent or smoking weed. One of my roommates broke into my apartment while I was moving out and stole my Hugo boss belt. The apartment management is useless, and they told me someone was squatting in my apartment after I moved out. Drug dealers live here. It was a waste of money living here, and I can’t give it zero stars so here’s one Review from Google
Jun 2019: The 5 star reviews are from people who get some incentive from the leasing staff - not genuine. These apartments are not worth it for the price. don't believe the models they show you. The people who lease here are very irresponsible and keep the common areas unclean. If you move in by yourself to an unclean apartment by former roommates, you are doomed.
I hate complaining but with my full time job I'm very stressed trying to deal with issues created in the common areas by my roommates who have lived in the apartment years before me.
They gym equipment are all broken and never repaired, cleaned or replaced. Management also keeps changing frequently and its very difficult to work with them as they are very inexperienced dealing with people. There are also roach and pest infestations in the stairwells. Review from Google

Feb 2019: When I moved here, I got an apartment with an unkept and unclean kitchen. The management changed after a few months and now I have to fight with the new management to convince them the former roommates kept it this way. Eventually I had to clean up the mess of a complaining roommate. I also pay 1/4 the water and utilities for 5 peolpe in a 4 bedroom apartment. Thanks cee cee. not renewing my lease. Oct 2018: Visited a friend here during weeknights and weekends. I believe there are criminal elements hanging out at the unregulated/ungated bottom parking lot in the evenings after dark. There are always cars where the lights are always on and blocking one side of the bottom floor visitor parking. Tinted windows. Criminal types. At times you will see strung out girls coming out of the vehicles. The thugs..in groups of 3-6 would hang around their cars with engines on...these girls would use the elevators with a group of 3 thugs to go up the elevator and come back down again back into the vehicles and repeat....looks like a set up for criminal activity. I would never live here....does not make any sensible woman feel safe. In fact my friend will be leaving once the lease is up. Review from Google

Review from GoogleJan 2017: I moved into Northgate Apartments in July 2016 it is by far the worst place I've ever lived however I also worked for the property the corporate office and the property manager has to be one of the most And company organization and group of people I have ever seen in my entire life mold and mildew in about 85% of the units Having the opportunity to be in the leasing office and see residence come in day after day complaining about everything from a broken washer and dryer to no heat when it's cold when it's hot the AC is not running in their units it's unbelievable the maintenance team recklessly disregards regard work orders.

When my roommates and I first moved in, the washer and dryer were broken, the tv was broken, the garbage disposal was broken, and other broken things. The AC has broken multiple times since I've lived here and maintenance always took a few days to fix it. As I'm writing this the AC is out.. If you're squeamish about roaches, I recommend not living here. Also, I just came back from winter break to find my apartment/room had been gone through and messed with even though all of my roommates were gone. However, the door was locked whenever I came back.
Review from 1/2/17 on Apartment RatingsAug 2016: Northgate has a lot of bad reviews which put me off, but I went through with signing because it was the most affordable option. don't listen to the reviews and see for yourself like I did! I love living here, management is like a second family to me, and it's location and price make it a seriously good deal y'all. I highly recommend just coming in and asking for a tour and talking to management yourself like I did. Maintenance always fixes urgent stuff, and management is on it if you just talk to them face to face and be real.

Jul 2016: Northgate Apartments is by far the best place to live by LSU for a great price. Management has always been very helpful and friendly. Maintenance always responds in a timely manner and prevents future problems with everything. Most importantly, the location is hard to beat. It's only two blocks from campus with gated parking and curtesy officers living on site. Perfect for those who want to avoid traffic and troublesome parking on campus. I have lived here at Northgate for two years and have never met a better management team! I couldn't have picked a better place to live!

The apartment is very spacious and a lot bigger than I expected! The apartment wasn't the cleanest when i moved in but I'm a clean freak and I got it all taken care of. The staff and makntence people are very friendly and have taken care of any needs or questions I had. I have seen some bad reviews but haven't experienced any of those things. The trash chutes works just properly, there are no rats that I have seen, and I haven't seen even one bug since I moved in (but I did spray a bug barrier before i moved my stuff in) overall it's not a bad place to live at all.
