Mar 2017: Lived here for 2 years now and I love it! They always get stuff fixed when I need it and it's just a great community! Review from 3/13/17 on Google
Mar 2017: Good houses with community style living. Nice clubhouse and amenities. Downsides are it's far from campus and after office hours the clubhouse is open however everything is taken away so nothing to do other than use the gym. Review from 3/4/17 on Google
Feb 2017: The apartment is pet friendly but does charge a pet fee. There is a bus route that connects to texas tech, the largest apartment pool in lubbock, and all the free ammenities most apartments offer. Definitely on the higher end of student living but at a cheaper price. Review from 2/14/17 current resident
Dec 2016: Living at the Republic has been the best decision. It is pet friendly which I love and everyone has dogs here so it makes it fun. The Republic even sets up days where everyone brings there dogs to the open grass areas and there are treats and toys and little kid pools for the dogs provided by the Republic. They also give you free food almost every day it seems like! Its so convenient that you get to park right in front of your house too. It isn't scary walking around at night because there is always college kids out walking around. I live in the Springmore style and the bedrooms and living room are huge. Review from 12/4/16 on Google
Dec 2016: Awesome place to live! This is my first year here and I have already renewed for next year! I've never been charged overages for electricity, maintenance is always quick to repair the fix-it's, they keep the grounds clean and trash free, and they have a ton of awesome events for the residents! If your looking for a new place to live, this is the perfect place! Review from 12/3/16 on Google
Jun 2016: If I could give zero stars I would! When my son signed a lease with them, they told him he could get released early because he is in the Army. Now they are denying his request because the training he has to do is less than 90 days and the law says they don't have to. What a horrible way to treat a member of the military!!!! Review from 6/18/16 on Google
Jun 2016: As a parent, I have been less than impressed with The Republic. I have visited my daughter three times and on each occasion the entire grounds looked like a dump. Recently, my daughter came "home" during a hailstorm only to find someone else parked in her covered spot. Management did nothing. Her boyfriend also lives at the Republic and was towed for parking in his own spot! And now I received her June statement to find a $102 carpet cleaning and blind repair charges (which I will not pay). By the way, upon move in, her blinds were inoperable to begin with and this was reported. The carpet has NOT BEEN CLEANED and the blinds NOT REPAIRED. My daughter has attempted to contact management on more than one occasion to no avail. My advice...look to live somewhere else or lease at your own risk. Review from 6/3/16 on Google
May 2016: First of all, when we moved in, the house was disgusting. We called to get it cleaned again but they barely did anything. So we had to deep clean other people's mess ourselves so we could live here. Second, the place was supposed to be furnished. We didn't get a dining table and three chairs until three months after moving here. Third, there has not been one month where we haven't paid overcharges for things. No matter how much we try to save. So rent isn't actually 550 for a four bedroom, it's actually more. Fourth, due to all the parties that go on, I can never park in front of my house on the weekends. It has gotten to the point where I've had to park outside the complex and walk in the dark, all the way to my house on the other side of the entrance which to me it's just plain ridiculous. Fifth, the pool is always dirty. There's never been Review from Google

Nov 2015: Move in weekend was atrocious. It has gotten better since then. Work orders are completed fairly quickly and people at the front office are usually very helpful. It would be nice if there was an email service for our packages though (11/24/2015 Republic site current resident)
Feb 2015: I lived at The Republic for a year and a half and loved every minute of it. (Resident 2015)
Jul 2014: I am moving out of The Republic in a few weeks and I have to admit I am actually sad to be leaving the place I've called home for so long. I have spent the last two years here and as I'm packing up all of my things to move back home I am glad this is the place I chose to make so many great memories. Between all of the resident events with tons of free food and the huuuuuuge walk in closet in my cottage I can't decide what I'll miss most. Sorry for getting all sappy, I blame the packing, but I just wanted to thank The Republic for giving me a great experience! If you're considering living here, I highly recommend it! Review from 7/3/2014 on Google
Jun 2014: I really like The Republic. I've lived here since they opened a couple years ago and everything has been great for me. The pool is always hopping and they feed us all the time! As a broke college student, free food is always welcome. The people who work in the office are nice and I've never had a problem with maintenance. I would definitely recommend this place over a normal apartment complex. Living in a house instead of an apartment is awesome! Review from 6/5/2014 on Google
May 2014: I've been living at The Republic going on 3 years now, and I actually signed my Housing agreement before I had even been to Lubbock. When I moved in, I was glad that the pictures online were not misleading about what I would be moving in to. Everything from the granite counterparts, to the colors on the wall, as well as the hardwood floors, were all the same in the pictures. One of the best things here is that you aren't living with people above you, below you, or on both sides of you directly on the other side of a wall. I enjoy having a stand alone cottage! Also, we have access to plenty of great amenities! If I've ever had any problems I just needed to ask and they worked with me. They offer a lot of different specials throughout the year. GREAT place to live! Review from 5/15/2014 on Google
Apr 2012: The Retreat (which is now actually called the Republic) is a really nice place. The houses are beautiful and the clubhouse is great. It kinda sucked last semester because I could never park by my house and there were a lot of parties, and it just seemed like in general they kept promising things we never got. But since the new management took over it's getting a lot better. I actually like the guest list for the pool because before there were too many people on the weekends for me to even hang out at the pool. I pay to live here but there were so many people who didn't. I was going to move but I actually just re-signed my lease because things are finally getting better here. Republic FTW! Review from Google
Apr 2012: Was awesome until the management became Nazi's. can't even have a small party without security showing up 30 minutes later. And you must have your guests on a guest list to get in to the pool. Total bs. don't live here. Review from Google
