Sep 2018: This apartment has been horrible. They fire alarm is continually going off. They initially said someone was pulling the alarm. However, we discovered that this is just a faulty system. I have lived here too long, I assure you. This is a fact. The one night we actually had a fire in the complex, the alarm didn’t go off at all. We literally had to knock on the doors to inform people that the alarm was real.
Our air conditioning unit went out three nights ago. This is summer in Georgia... which means it is currently over 80 degrees in here. On the “emergency hotline, “ this is considered an emergency. No one has called back, and no one has tried to come back. This apartment complex is horrible. Review from Google
Aug 2018: I’ve had a pretty good experience with this complex, Janice and the other management all remember my name every time they see me, very friendly and have been very quick to resolve any issues. The apartment itself is great looking and spacious. I did not give 5 stars bc I don’t like the parking situation for when I have guest. There is no call box to let my friends in the gate so they can drive up to my parking level, so it’s a bit annoying. Review from Google
Aug 2018: I highly recommend making repairs to the first floor, due to the water damages from last year!!! It has now become
utterly embarrassing to bring a guest to the "luxury" Montage Apartments. I understand budget, but again, the damages were done roughly a year ago in 2017.No excuses!!! Please take pride in managing and maintaining this property, as if it were your own. The increase in rent needs to mirror the services. Review from Google
Apr 2018: I have been here for a year. just renewed my lease because I am pleased with the rates, amenities and cordule attention to my needs when I need anything done . Feb 2018: Recently moved into apt, and commute to buckhead is a short 20 min. Apt is clean with all the modern appliances. Still wish that there was a fast internet option like Fiber available. Walking distance to Kroger is a plus, but access to 85 and 285 make getting around the city very convenient. Staff was very quick to respond to a few issues in the apartment. Feb 2018: GREAT PACKAGE PICK-UP: The Montage Embry Hills APARTMENT HOMES staff makes picking up packages from their office convenient. Sometimes they are able to inform you that you received a package.
Feb 2018: The Montage Embry Hills provides convenience, comfort and pleasure. I like the amenities and the customer service. My favorite amenity is the private movie theater, it's a needle in the haystack. The staff has also been wonderful in creating a HOME SWEET HOME professional environment.Feb 2018: For the past three years, I have lived at the Montage apartments. The only issues I have are that the access gates all around the complex either don’t work properly or are constantly being propped open so anyone can just come on in. It leaves a false sense of security in the building as anyone can get in anytime.
The fire alarms are being pulled in the middle of the night. (I guess people think this is funny).
The only other issue is with the gas grills. The one by the pool is usually working, but the one right down stairs from my apartment has not worked since we moved in.
Overall we enjoy living here. A few things just need to be tweaked to make it the luxury apartment complex it is advertised as. Review from Google
Jan 2018: Truly 3.5 stars as the location is great, leasing and maintenance staff are great, but residents in the community are inconsistent. At one moment there are stable, responsible residents you get to know and feel are neighbors. Then, for example, the apartment across the call has had at least four tenants in two years which were either evicted or packed up suddenly and left. You get the sense that the application standards are lowered at times to fill up vacancies. For the east side of metro Atlanta, it remains a good choice. It just at times will not live up to luxury living as the name implies. With the the right direction, the apartment could remain at 4 stars and even begin to move toward five stars but in the next breathe it may seem it is headed on the express train to 3 star (average) living. Review from GoogleDec 2017: At 4:30am on Christmas morning, the fire alarm went off on a false alarm. This is the 4th time I have been woken up to a false fire alarm since I moved here in April. I lost count of how many times it has happened during the daytime.
I have a reasonable expectation that, if I pay rent, I get to sleep here. This is not the 1st time this has happened. It's not even the 1st time it has happened while everyone is asleep. The previous 3 times it happened at 2 3 & 6 am.
We're all so used to it that only 10 people even bothered to come outside. The fire department has said that it is from fire pulls each time, and management has done nothing to find the people pulling the false alarms. They have not even installed cameras so that they can determine the person who is doing it. Review from GoogleNov 2017: I have lived here for about 8 months and I cannot wait until my lease is up. Here is why:
1.) The hallways always smell like MARIJUANA smoke and no one seems to care.
2.) The assistant property manager MYRA has a horrible attitude and is never pleasant. I dislike having to go into the leasing office when she is there because I know her attitude is going to be awful.
3.) The VERY LOUD FIRE ALARM goes off at least once a month at 2am, 3am and sometimes will keep going for 30-40 minutes.
4.) Design of apartments. The parking deck is in beginning of the complex so if you live on the end, get ready to have a very long walk each day. Exercise is good but you will need a cart if you have heavy things to carry.
5.) They need to upgrade the units. The cabinets aren't even real wood they are covered in "wallpaper" that looks like wood.
