Hi, Loading...

Jun 2018: I sent an email to the leasing office several times but didn't get any response. Finally, I called but I found the lady who answered very rude as she hung up the phone in mid-conversation. Even though this place was highly recommended, their poor customer service will put this community to shame. So disappointed. Review from Google
Apr 2018: TL;DR: Emory Woods is a good, well-built, no frills, cheap place to live with decent management and fantastic neighbors...but you may need to spend a little of your rent-savings on things you think the apartment "should" pay for in order to keep your sanity. Emory Woods is a good place to live in spite of itself, but you have to have realistic expectations. You move into Emory Woods for the location and the price. Period. You don't move into Emory Woods for on-site amenities, modern conveniences, or even new carpet. I won't lie, I thought I knew what I was getting myself into, but I CRIED the day I signed my lease because my kitchen cabinets were 60 years old and covered in 60 years worth of someone else's grease, grim, and filth. But, I sucked it up, worked with JR, and paid for new kitchen cabinets out of my own pocket - which I could Review from Google

You may think that the price/location combo is the best thing Emory Woods has going for it, but I would argue that Emory Woods has another, hidden benefit: the neighbors you will be gaining. Oct 2017: I left my information in the office while ago for place to rent they never call me or keep me posted. Review from Google
Mar 2017: Excelent expirence living in this comunitity... I am so happy to know is a good staff working on the Leasing Office Review from Google
Mar 2016: Emory Woods is cozy, affordable and convenient! I love its charm and character! Great restaurants, fun shops and a Publix and Rainbow grocery store can easily be accessed on foot or by bike. Public transportation is available and animal friendly. Review from Google
Mar 2015: Good apartment, nice neighbors, and lots of green space. Cons: endless process to get a refrigerator that works--still barely does. The landscape guys spray poison everywhere, despite many requests to stop. (Even signs don't help.) Dead zones and blow-over are issues. Rent is constantly being raised, even if you renew a lease. Mine has gone up each year for three years. Review from 3/23/15 on Apartment Ratings
Feb 2015: I have lived in Emory woods for almost four years now and I love it here!! I have never had a problem having anything repaired and the management team has always been available by email, phone and during business hours walk ins. I locked my keys in the apartment one afternoon and no problem getting one from the office so I could get in. These are not new apartments and will not be your cup of tea if your into all the modern comforts of newer gated apartments. I hope I can stay in "The Woods" for a couple more years until I get enough money together to put a down payment on a house in the same area. We also are renting a carport with a storage space for $30.00 a month. If you call around inside the parameter you will realize how much of a deal this is. Review on Apartment Ratings from 02/15/15

Mar 2014: I loved living in this community, and still maintain friendships with many of my former neighbors. The service was usually very quick and responsive. For instance, right before my first child was born two years ago, the heater completely stopped working. The maintenance crew (aka Freddy, who is a great guy) came quickly and got the heater replaced before we got home from the hospital. The community is very interesting, a mix of PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, blue-collar folks, young families, and some older neighbors who have been there a long time. I found living in this diverse community at Emory Woods to be very rewarding. JR comes off as a bit cold, but has a big heart and actually takes very good care of some of the older residents. JR and staff regularly help some older residents (my former neighbors) get to their medical appointme Review from Google
Jun 2013: We are there for 4 years and experience no problem at all. We had few maintenance calls on Weekends too, which were taken care promptly. Mgr. is little rude but who cares as long as the services are met. We felt very safe environment and friendly community. Refund would be an issue, but hope we can handle that too. Review from Google
Jun 2012: I've lived here 2008-2012 and it has exceeded my expectations. It is the best value in the Emory/Decatur area. The management responds to work requests within 24-48 hours. The studios are small but has everything necessary. Laundry facilities are connected to the leasing office. There is a pool open to residents too. Very close to MARTA public bus routes and the free Emory University shuttle (free for everybody even not affiliated with Emory). Plenty of good restaurants and a coffee shop and grocery store nearby. Possible to live here without a car, but parking is not a problem. Sometimes I have a problem with noisy neighbors late at night. Neighborhood is very friendly.
