Sep 2018: The Glenn has decided to take the law into their own hands and put ALL of their residents out on the streets after Hurricane Florence. I'm sure this is probably a play for insurance dollars, and the management company (Phillips) should be prosecuted. Tenants still have rights, and an attorney will help the residents get paid for damages, regardless of any clause in the lease which cannot (and does not) supersede tenant protections under the law. Review from GoogleSep 2018: They don't answer the phones, they make empty agreements involving maintenance. I got mold and my toilet practically erupted from what I suspect is faulty plumbing. And the longer I live there the more shoddy work I find. Smh. don't do this to yourself unless you just need a really cheap place to love. Aug 2018: Do not live here. This place is horrible! Grass is always a foot high. When it rains a normal rain I have a lake in my backyard. The gutters overflow because no one has cleaned the gutters probably since they were installed. I count the days until I can move out Review from Google
Jun 2018: DO NOT LIVE HERE. The front office is run by idiots that do not communicate with their co-workers, bugs in the apartments, outdated appliances, zero counter space, 3 shared walls, only windows in the front, floods during normal rain storms so deep to the point you cant move your car out, etc. We even had an incident that we were sitting in our living room one night and someone else UNLOCKED OUR DOOR! Complained to the front desk and had to argue with them as they wanted to charge us to have our locks changed for something that was clearly not our fault. They will do ANYTHING to blame residents for any issues with the apartments to avoid responsibility for making necessary repairs, including being totally dishonest, violating residents' rights, and going against the professional advice of plumbers, pest control professionals, HVAC, etc. Bed bugs and black mold run rampant here. Dec 2017: I can't wait to leave this place they are so stuck up and mean they never help I called everyday for 3 weeks trying to get someone to fix a leaked pipe in my house not until I told them I wouldn't pay the rent they came to fix it when they did my carpet and wall molded I have a 3 year old that wouldve made her sick then out of no where no notice or documentation signed they started adding my water bill to my rent after a year in a half did they fix my back door where the previous owners broke they ain't worth a damn TAKE YOUR CHANCES IN A HOMELESS SHELTER been here 3 years to long lawn care comes at like 6 am like people dont have a job or children forget about your sleep and blow so much dirt under my door every damn time they're quick to throw threats about your home and thier money DONT...DO..IT HEATH MY WORDS Review from GoogleSep 2017: I AM BEYOND PISSED WITH THE GLEN!!! first off the GLEN had put a work order in for a new smoke alarm. I had infestation of bed bugs which from others in Wilmington say they have that issue! I would be ok with it after it was fixed but without telling me I had to pay $400. They never talk with you straight! Always dancing around what you ask them I was here for two years my refrigerator was just fixed 4months ago.
Review from 5/16/17 on GoogleNov 2016: I have been having problems with my toilet not flushing with me having to plunge it evertime i used the bathroom and my shower knob not working properly. I put in several requests for maintenance to come take a look at it and they came everyone but...they would do the same thing and that's plunge and snake the toilet and tighten the screw on the shower knob. Well these were just one day fixes that didn't work only covered up the problem for a day a two, then im right back to plunging and tighting the screw.

It takes months for anything to get done unless you the office favorite tenant . the office staff is a joke and write there own reviews. it is crime and drug infested . the so called grilling area smells like crap and you have to wear boots cuz no one every picks up the dog crap. so its like land mines . the office staff will not even help the handicap tenants but making there apartment more efficient . no one should rent from this place it is an absolute joke. there is mold in the apartments and roofs that have caved in.

Once you moved to house they act crazy and doesn't respond to any of our requests. The Service is really poor and we will get the issues fixed after several calls and requests, it will take 2-3 weeks!.
Recently even though I told my friend about these pathetic conditions, he has applied for an apartment. Initially they didn't show the house saying its not ready yet and try to grab a application fee from you. Once you applied, they will say its not approved.

The office staff seem very friendly at first but once your name is on that lease they act like they own you. All the appliances are ancient and after both the oven and dishwasher have broken in various ways (including simply falling apart, doors falling off, burners not working, lock on dishwasher breaking, ect..) they still refuse to replace them. The plumbing is absolutely atrocious. The shower, which sits directly above the living room, leaked through the top floor into the light fixture of the living and onto the carpet.

Okay so within the first week after moving in, the apartment flooded out and all my things I lost...luckily I had renters insurance with state farm. In the kitchen I have a problem with underneath the sink flooding everytime I was my dishes....the guy who came to fix it took a look at it and wen I say he took a LOOK I'm saying that's all he did...he came ...took a look and said 'oh I be right back I need some tools" and never returned. So for the past 2 years I been here the sink does the same thing and its because the pipe is not long enuf so as u put on the water the pipes underneath separate and the water goes everywhere. I also had problems with my air condition in which once again a maintenance worker came and RIGGED the air condition unit outside and left it as is. Review from 12/10/2014 on GoogleJun 2013: I loved living at the Glen. It is wicked cheap for the amount of space you get and it is an amazing location. I have lived there for a year now and will be getting a new apartment in the same complex.
There are some draw backs. Bugs are a bit of a constant, but as long at you keep the apartment clean its not too bad. And they are awesome about sending the exterminator when you ask. Never had major problems with maintenance. The parking lot has poor drainage when it rains, but parking was always available. Walls are a little thin. And windows were drafty. And the kitchen is SMALL!! Very very small kitchen. But they are the cheapest apartments in Wilmington. I think its worth it.
