Jul 2019: This team at Mills Creek is so amazing, helpful, friendly, attentinitive and always has your best interest and safety at the top of the list. Review from Google
Jul 2019: This is an Unbiased review! It took me awhile to settle into Mill Creek to give it a four star review. I moved right after Hurricane Florence and had a rocky start with miscommunication between Mill Creek and their sister property Cape Harbor. That aside, I was able to get a 2nd story unit in Phase 2. The apartment was in great condition. The maintenance staff has been responsive since day 1 & are the most friendly people on the property. Mill Creek is very dog friendly. They have a fenced in dog park in Phase 2 and multiple pet stations around the site. The location is unbeatable: in walking distance to two breweries, a food lion and a Planet Fitness & 5-10 minutes from the airport. The leasing office staff is friendly and accommodating, particularly Joe and Alex. Overall it is a good place to live. Sometimes neighbors were noisy but in my experience Mill Creek handled it quickly and professionally Review from Google
Jun 2019: I lived at Mill Creek for a year. I don’t think there is enough space here to adequately explain why I think someone should live anywhere else but there. They fail to communicate or explain anything in their leases. They will change numbers and dates (even if it was written) at every turn and call it policy or as per corporate. They don’t do general maintenance and upkeep like they should. I moved into a different unit when my lease was up and I started getting ridiculous power bills for a 1br 1ba and couldn’t figure out why. I had my AC friend look because no matter what I did I couldn’t keep the unit cool. They looked and the filter hadn’t been changed for a very long time even though that’s something they claimed to do before I moved in. I have multiple other instances where things like this happened but I’ll spare you the novel. They charge way too much in rent for what they offer Review from Google

May 2019: We've lived here for a little over a year now. The first year was in the older phase. We just moved into the newer phase of the complex. The office does not care who you are and will only do what they are told if you threaten them with taking them to court. We had been asking for our mail box keys for over a month and had no access to our mail. We were given keys that did not work on three separate occasions. They are slow about fixing or replacing anything and severally over charged us cleaning fees from when we switched apartments. The air conditioner constantly breaks and they take forever to fix it but still charge full price no matter what condition the apartment is in. Our lease is up in November we are leaving as soon as possible and not turning back..don't waste your time or money here. don't bother trying to call corporate either I've left multiple messages on different occasions concerning different issues and they never return calls. Mar 2019: Clean cute apartments, no bugs from what I’ve seen but I keep my unit clean. Neighbors are cool and all very nice. Office managers and people are generally pretty unhappy and rude on the phone if you have problems or want to talk to someone. Lived here since last year and the gym is still not open. Most of us pay 1000$+ a month to live here so the fact there still isn’t a gym is astonishing. How can people pay so much to live somewhere but they don’t care enough to purchase one or two gym machines ?? Don’t even bother calling the office no one will pick up. Also paying for rent is an absolute nightmare and they over charge and have zero perks because everything is closed LOL. also I had to make a fake google account just to post this because I’m scared of how I would be treated by the office employees if I talk badly on them. Just scary office people, pretty nice apartments that are poorly put together with the worst paint and construction jobs I’ve ever seen but aight Review from Google
Mar 2019: I’ve been here for less than a week and so far it’s “ok”; I’m hoping it gets better. I had a small cockroach infestation and would have to wait a week for an exterminator; I took care of it myself with combat bait disks and raid. Apparently my unit is an older unit and some of the window frames are cracked. The painters did a poor job of painting. One of my blinds are broken. There was no washing machine in my unit; when they finally brought it they didn’t connect it! The dishwasher was FILTHY and I had to clean it! The door for the laundry area is a sliding accordion door that came of the track and my bedroom door seems to be falling apart among a few other things. I’m hoping they come to fix the things that are wrong. As I understood my unit was empty for some time so it’s possible these things went unnoticed.

Mar 2019: very courteous; makes repairs within 48 hours when requests are asked for.
Mar 2019: Alex was wonderful to us moving in, she was so informative and we love it here.
Jan 2019: No hot water for a whole month in my master bathroom. It’s January and 30 degrees outside. A Hot shower would be nice. The problem is they don’t care. Oh. Ps don’t try calling the office. You need to walk there and physically go in the front door to get in contact with someone. Review from Google
Jan 2019: I appreciated the fact that the matinenence person took the extra step and painted the wall that had nothing to do with why he came to my house that day Review from Google
Jan 2019: Sebastian review part 2 She told me that i had to make the copy and bring it in within their open hours. We talked for a few minuted, and, between the lines, she told me to take time of work to go do their work for them, and then bring it in when it was convenient for them, and not me, the costumer, who’s supposed to always being right - haha, but not at mill creek.
I get furious and text them that i don’t want to do their work for them. Then the boss calls me and tells me they have a machine that can do it in 2 minutes at the office, and now, but first after a lot of angry calls and texts, they agree to do it.
While in there i tell them, that they better not bug spray the apartment the upcoming friday, and she tells me “off cause not” like she cares about what I have to say.
Friday comes up, and I’m getting guests at night, Review from Google
Jan 2019: Sebastian review part 1 I came to America from Europe this summer, and was urgently in need of an apartment.

When you get your keys to the apartment, they tell you that it’s been cleaned and inspected. It came wit year aged old dust coating all over all the cabinets. All i had to do, that the professional cleaners could not, was to use soap and water. We kept on finding damages and other stuff, which we would have ended up paying for in the end. Broken garbage disposal, paint on carpet, handles for a couple of the cabinets not screwed in, severe draft from doors, leaking shower, water damaging on the ceiling, paint (plastic coating or what you used to make this place as cheap as possible) is loose on all cabinet doors, knuckle/punch marks in fridge doors. Then we got bugs, which was weird since we were very good at cleaning up. I c Review from Google
Dec 2018: Always find the staff helpful and my neighbors are great! We have a nice neighborhood here in the Phase II apartments! Review from Google
Nov 2018: Mill Creek is great place when it comes to space. The apartment I lived in had a large eating and family area. My time at Mill Creek was horrible and I would recommend to anyone to stay away. The staff at Mill Creek are some of the most incompetent people I have ever met. Make sure you ask the name of the staff member when asking questions because each person will tell you something different and the staff has a high turnover rate. My apartment was also broken into one night along with others the same night. There is also a roach problem they try to hide. The maintenance requests could take weeks. The worst thing is the outdated HVAC system so you will be paying a very high electricity bill. Review from Google
Oct 2018: We love it here!!! Convenient to everything, staff is excellent and very very helpful!! Thanks again Review from Google
Jul 2018: In moving to Wilmington NC from San Diego, I was looking to rent an apartment sight unseen. Mill Creek seemed to have all the features and amenities I wanted and I was not disappointed. Luke could not have been more supportive and helpful. The staff and maintenance crew are friendly and on top of everything. The complex is close to everything I need. I would recommend Mill Creek to anyone looking in this area. Review from Google
Jun 2018: I’m not even a resident and I’m saying screw this place. My dog is a Shepherd mix and also a service animal. During a sit down talk about their community, the guy I was talking to (I believe he was the manager) became very aggressive about their “bully breed” restrictions and demanded to see a picture of my dog before continuing the discussion. To which I showed them out of not trying to be deceptive. His response was “if it looks like a shepherd and smells like a shepherd...” he became increasingly rude as the conversation went on and threatened to call animal control if I became a resident and tried to “sneak” my dog in. He didn’t bother to continue the discussion. We didn’t tour the community, I didn’t see one of the units, and I never went back. I wouldn’t want to live here anyways after reading some of the awful re Review from Google
Jun 2018: My wife and I have lived at Mill Creek for almost one year, and we have enjoyed our apartment here very much. The location is perhaps the most convenient one in Wilmington, with easy access to shopping, downtown, and the beach. We've encountered the usual assortment of a few minor issues, but the friendly staff go out of their way to quickly make things right. We have already renewed our lease, and we're looking forward to another wonderful year at Mill Creek! Review from Google
Jun 2018: There were a lot of bumps in picking and settling into my new apartment from my old in Wilmington. I researched about 14 places before deciding on Mill Creek. The management team handled all the issues that arose quickly and went above and beyond to make sure I had a good move-in experience (fantastic response time and shout out to Joseph). My "nest" is lovely and well-built and the amenities are top notch for the area. I highly recommend checking Mill Creek out for yourself before judging based on reviews. Unhappy people always give more feedback. I'm giving a voice to a happy camper! I've also met several of the other staff members (maintenance and they have new security) and everyone is friendly and quick to help. Review from Google
Apr 2018: A lot of people have had bad things to say about living here, probably cuz most people tend to write reviews when they're angry from 1 experience. I personally never had a bad experience here. Management and all the maintenance people were always 100% helpful and kind, and always went out of their way to do what they could to help me when I needed it. Anytime I had any minor issues with my apartment, I'd submit a maintenance request and it would be fixed the next day, sometimes even the day of. I lived in phase II, which is important to note because there is a difference between phase I and phase II. I would definitely recommend this complex to friends. I've never had an issue with anyone living here. It's pretty quiet, of course with the occasional exceptions, which is to be expected when living in an apartment complex. Super convenient loc Review from Google
Apr 2018: Never in my life have I dealt with such incompetency and a group of inept money hungry morons. Relocating from NJ to Wilmington NC found a moderately priced apartment in which I paid two application fees via the website to start the process of applying for an apartment. Site unseen, mind you. (One application was filled out by myself the other one was paid in advance for my roommate who did not fill out the application and was told never processed due to the fact that the whole application process wasn't complete) After repeated, non-answered phone calls and a google search of nothing but current resident negative, employee generated positive reviews I decided to pullout, more like run for my life. Finally reaching someone to cancel the applications the person on the phone told me the application fees would be returned to my credit card becaus Review from Google
Apr 2018: I moved in October 2017 and will be moving out of state here in July 2018. I honestly was very happy here. I did move into a more recently renovated space here, but it was very clean and we never had any problems with bugs or anything. I had the master room which was a great size, with a large walk in closet and a linen closet. No pantry, but lots of cabinets in the kitchen. While we did have some minor maintenance issues, the team was really great about coming quickly to fix it. They also have good customer service. The prices are very affordable and they keep the outside looking pretty nice. I can't say I have any complaints. I was a little worried about moving here based on older reviews, but I definitely think Mill Creek is making a lot of improvements and will continue to get even better. Review from Google
Mar 2018: Leasing consultants will directly lie to your face and deny they did things they have directly told you. Especially the manager Rebecca. Today she told me she wasn’t responsible for any of the mishaps that happened when I got this appointment because she wasn’t there then which she was and then said she’d have to look at the paperwork to see yet never did so. Can’t wait for my lease to be over here these people are con artists not salesman they will show you no interest and simply look at you blankly if you ask questions unless you are in there ready to sign a lease so they can make their commission and they will never help you will a thing after that.
