Oct 2019: don't walk away from this complex....RUN!
My boyfriend lived in this complex back when it was Grigio. He had such a great experience, and when we decided to move back to Tempe, Ten01 seemed like the place for us. WE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG.
The words that come to mind when I think of this complex are: apathetic, mismanaged, uncaring, "that's not my job", etc. When we first moved in, we opted for an upgraded two bed with a small loft. We were told the unit absolutely could not be held past Jan. 15th - and so we moved in Jan. 15th. The place was coated in dust and dirt from renovation. The doors did not line up and wouldn't close. The kitchen renovation was a joke and most of the cabinetry came off the hinges within days of move in. Besides having to wait days for maintenance to get our sinks to drain and our appliances hooked up so we could cook and clJun 2019: I am currently a resident of Ten01 have been here since 2012, I am pleased with the excellent customer service given by Manuela González, she demonstrates professionalism and is ready to help with any question or issue I may have, tenants find her knowledgeable and always willing to assist. Jun 2019: I am a current resident here and all the amenities like gym have been under construction since we moved here back in July 2018 and they will still be under construction when we move out. The Lake is pretty pointless because homeless people wander there. It is open to all. One good thing they did was to change the filthy carpets. None of the gates are ever locked though (remember homeless people around). The people living above me make so much noise all the time thumping and banging even at 3 am! When we moved in we put in so many maintenance requests because kitchen lights would go off every week and there were a myriad of issues such as dryer not working. There were cobwebs inside the apartment and on the patio and they are still there. Mar 2019: As someone who moved to the valley alone, this apartment community is wonderful, from the amenities to floor plans to convenient location they literally have it all! In addition to this the entirety of the leasing staff is amazing. Especially Aleia, she worked with me when I was switching units within the same community and could not have made transferring easier. Feb 2019: The difference between this place and our old place is absolutely night and day. The views are great the location and accessibility of everything is great. The staff in the office is friendly most repairs and fixes have been very timely. I would definitely recommend this place to others.Feb 2019: I love this property! The staff here is so helpful and accommodating. More than that I love love love this area! Right by some nice food places like Wingstop, In and Out Burger, Starbucks and others in walking distance. Plus Tempe Marketplace is right down the road. I love walking the lake and I just cannot talk highly enough about living here.Feb 2019: I'm so excited to move into my apartment in May. There's not much to see because everything is under construction and renovations right now but Vince did a great job at selling me on what's coming. The apartment looked great, the loft layout is dope. Perfect location, right off the water and even though there's no gym right now, they offer a free membership with Mountainside fitness! Feb 2019: I moved in about a week ago. I’ve had an exceptional experience so far. Everyone has been so helpful in getting me comfortable in my new home. I’ve especially had a good experience with Esteban as he had gone out of his way for me more than once, but I’ve also really appreciated Vincent and Joey. I’m looking forward to my new little place knowing that there such a helpful staff to aid me when I need something. I’d definitely recommend moving here and thanks to those who have made my transition easier.
Jan 2019: What awesome improvements the community has made since new management took over in 2018. The premium north lake location, management team and polished upgrades really make this place special! I highly recommend checking it out if you’re considering the downtown Tempe area. If you are looking for a nice mid range apartment this is the place. The other properties in the area are substantially more expensive. The location is perfect (hop on and off the 202 easily) the complex is pretty quiet, the apartments are well made and walls are not too thin, and the staff is great.

Stove works again. My fireplace is still broken. Most of the amenities that convinced me move in, are now gone. No gym. No fireplace. If you're thinking of moving in here, move into any of the newer places in the same neighborhood. You'll pay the same as you would here, but you'll get what you're paying for.
I am a pretty patient person but this is getting ridiculous. The gas has not been working in two buildings here since 12/16. The last email management sent out was on 12/22 saying the gas would be back on the day before Christmas. That didn't happen, it is 12/26. Gas is still off and management has not reached out or given any updates or how they plan to remedy this situation. I don't have a working stove or oven so not only has a bunch of food gone bad, I have to eat out every day. Review from GoogleDec 2018: (Update 12/27/18: after no gas since 12/16, southwest gas came by my apartment today to shut off valves so they could identify if and where there was a leak. Even though I didn’t receive notice at all this was being done I appreciate it’s getting tended to. I also received an email from an assistant manager I’ve never heard from before today saying they would be crediting my account an amount for the inconvenience. I appreciate this and see it as a somewhat fresh start again, maybe they are trying to improve their communication with residents - I really hope! - so I have changed my review from 1 to 3 stars now)

Nov 2018: I want to add on to my original review from when I first moved to this complex back in March. Right after I moved in, the management company changed to Alliance. I want to commend the staff for their efforts and strides in taking the necessary steps to better the overall experience of living here. The management team handled the transition in a seamless and efficient fashion. They continuously communicate all of the updates happening within the complex community, including renovations, upgraded amenities, and services. Most importantly they listen and encourage residents to provide constructive feedback for further improvements, which is amazing and rarely seen in larger apartment complex management companies. Walking in to the temporary apartment setup that they are using for an office you are automatically greeted by a foul smell and as you walk through the hallways it just continues. This was disappointing. We viewed the first apartment which was a loft style (1 bedroom). I loved the openness of the floor plan and the expansive views. I was not under the impression that this was “luxuryâ€. I pay obsessive attention to detail and noticed that the cabinets were cheaply painted over, the sinks were not under mounted in the bathrooms, and the countertops were an outdated granite among other things. The dirtiest and unsafe apartment complex in Phoenix that actually costs the same as living in a luxury community. This complex changed management and ownership about 5 months ago. Everything went down the drain after the change in ownership management. The complex suffered a fire in which 8 units burned down the office, gym, common areas are all undergoing a "remodeling phase" I have yet to see any work going on in those areas. After complaining about the gym they gave me a free three month pass which is why I'm not giving them a one star. The down side is the elevators, the rugs in the hallways are gross it smells like dog urine and marihuana and the rear door that faces the lake has been dirty, and broken for the last 3 months (please look at past reviews, nothing has been done to fix any of the problems), s Review from Google
