Sep 2019: If I could give this place a 0 stars, I would.
There are so many problems. Then they just switched management, they already came in with a new set of rules on the first day within a 6 day notice.
I will not be renewing here.
The put this long response; however, still no changes with a property manager that can't manage the property.

May 2019: Not the nicest apartments. I don't live here and would never but my son's farther does. It's close to an elementary school and there's daycare within walking distance. Also bars are close by and a circle k. Review from GoogleMar 2019: Pros:
- Nice location and good pricing. You'll be hard-pressed to find apartments this close to ASU for similar prices.
- All of the office staff are very kind and work to make sure an issue is solved immediately if you go to them.
- Alex, the maintenance supervisor, is also great. At one point my water heater leaked everywhere and he came over in the middle of the night to drain it before the problem got any worse.
Cons:
- The gate is almost always open save for the middle of the night, and none of the smaller pedestrian gates have locks, so it’s kind of pointless to have them at all?
- On multiple occasions the community washers/dryers broke down. No one that I talked to ever ended up getting their money back from the company that the office told us to call.
- The online maintenance request system wasn’t great. At one point I had gone almost a month with a broken AC. If you have a maintenance request, make it in person if possible Review from Google
Jan 2019: Cheap, cool area, Tempe is AWESOME! I moved to Tempe to be close to my job, and it has been GREAT for me! My 1 bedroom apartment is nice, wood floors, the bedroom is carpeted, the A/C works very well especially in the hotter months, it does not accumulate water and drip inside my apartment like my old apartment where I had to keep a bucket under it to catch dripping water lol. Andrea and Anita have been great, they are super helpful in every way! Mail service including USPS, FedEx/UPS has all been perfect since moving here. Sep 2018: Place is good to live. Maintenance service is good but slow. Reception at the leasing office is warm and polite. The problem of Cockroaches is very less frequent but is still there. Feb 2018: We visited the apartment as an option to move in. The facilities were good and placed not so far from ASU. Review from GoogleNov 2017: Good deal for the price, few complexes in Tempe offer decent sized units, large walk-in closets, attached baths per bedroom and in-unit washers/dryers for this rent. Maintenance is reasonably quick in addressing work orders. Cleanliness is a big issue though, with very few residents picking up after pets, and nobody enforcing the rules. The pools are almost always unclean. I’ve seen many residents blatantly ignore the “no pets in pool area†rule and letting pet dogs splash about in the pool. The complex itself is only cleaned like once a week. Although it’s a gated community, the gates at the back are perpetually open/unlocked and the front gate code is almost common knowledge, if ever it is locked. Oct 2017: Huge closet and in house laundry are the best things abt this apt. Reasonable rent. Review from 5/9/16 on GoogleFeb 2016: This is by far the worst place I have rented from! The apartment manager doesn't care about any of your concerns and they never answer the phone. There is dog poop all over the complex that nobody picks up. The laundry facility is always unlocked and you see bums walking through it not to mention it's constantly dirty. Half of the machines don't even work and never gets repaired. I am always finding mold growing in my apartment because the AC units are so old. There is bird poop all over the sidewalks that has never been power washed. I have found a couple roaches in my home that have came out of the shower drain.

For sure, Foxfire is the the worst ever apartment complexes in tempe. The unique characteristics of Foxfire are horrible security, very bad costumer service, and nasty manager. I was forced to pay a lot of money for no meaningful reasons when I was leaving there and I didn't had this experience with the other complexes. not recommended at all. Stay away from Foxfire.

I work with leasing offices all over the country and I have to say, I have never had a Community Manager be so helpful. The process we dealt with took 2-3 weeks and ____ followed up via phone, fax, and email (when she really didn't have to do any of it, since there was no benefit for her end)!! If she did this for us as a competitor, I'm sure she is even better to her own customers! It was my pleasure to do business with this property!
Review from 8/15/15 on GoogleOct 2013: Have lived here for the past 6 months and it's the best place ever! The apartments are clean and we haven't had any bedbugs or roaches so far. The management (previously Matt and now Megan) is awesome; any kind of maintenance work is looked after immediately once it's reported. The place is quiet and laid-back, the location is really good and well-connected; there's a light rail station down the street, Orbit and Valley Metro bus stops right outside the apartment.
