Hi, Loading...

Feb 2018: This is basically a fraud company to me, they try what ever they can to get every penny out of you. i wouldnt write if i not this angry about this company. i would give negative review if i can. Basically this company try to make you pay for the application and then approve it without have the unit u want and then tell u to pay extra money for a "claimed better unit". That was what happended to me several month ago when i applied it. i was not in American back that time. They didnt asked any identity information from me when i filled the application and approved it miraclelly finally. i was so surprised and also happy to see this easy application ( i paid 150$ though). Then what follows was super frastrating, they email me telling me they dont have the unit i applied for, and will change it to another better one with higher rent. I said no to Review from Google
Dec 2017: Not my cup of tea during the school year it's rather loud and unsettling but if your one to socialize I would recommend living here. It's expensive for what it's worth but the people and college crowd was worth wild. From studying outside poolside to grilling steaks it was fun. For me the only downer is getting roomed with dramatic people. Other than that it's something to look into. Review from Google
Nov 2017: When the apartment was first presented to my roommates and I. It was in deplorable condition with previous residents still living here. We had to clean up all the apartment and made sure we took enough pictures for future reference on how the apartment was given to us. The managment was horrible and never did much to fix all the issues. This being said, the management company got changed and improvements all around the complex along with some of the issues in our apartment have been fixed. I think Gateway is getting back on it’s feet and will eventually become a great community to live at. Review from Google
Nov 2017: These apartments are a complete and total rip off for every student that have signed a contract. Complaints are made for items to be fixed in the apartments and ignored completely. My daughter lives in an apartment where the door does not lock and has not since she moved in. This is unprofessional and inexcusable. I have made the request and been promised it would be fixed within the day. To date that was one month ago and it still has not happened. I have a promise that it will be fixed today. The first apartment the girls were initially given up upon move-in was moldy and it smelled terribly. They were upgraded to a “renovated“ apartment and told they would not be charged the upgrade fee. To date they continue to be charge for the upgrade fee. This is a company that prays on students, ignores their requests, and expects that they will no Review from Google
Sep 2017: DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD SIGN A CONTRACT HERE!!!! Move in Day was a joke, my daughters bathroom toilet is falling through the floor and they still, 1 month later, have not fixed it because they say there is only one maintenance person. We have asked several times that they correct the amount of my daughters rent, which they still have not done, and we have to continue to provide the picture of the amount because they can't seem to find the signed document (good thing I took a picture of it the day she signed). Completely disorganized and when you call, good luck having someone answer the phones that is helpful, or answer at all!!! This place is a joke!!! They are getting new management, so hopefully they are better at what they do!! Review from Google
Aug 2017: What you see and what you get are two COMPLETELY different things. The model is a nice, furnished apartment with stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, and dark cabinets. The actual apartments have a completely different layout, carpet throughout, dingy painted (yellow?) cabinets, and white appliances. Multiple things were broken throughout upon arrival and furniture was missing and broken. The entire apartment was filthy. The only reason it gets two stars is that we were lucky not to get an apartment that wasn't infected with mold or roaches. Review from Google
Jun 2017: If you are ever looking for housing and consider Gateway at Tempe, PLEASE don't. I lived here last year and I regret ever renewing my lease. They have done nothing but make our living situation more complicated and stressful. Their contract is absurd, they treat their residents horribly, and they do anything they can to take your money. Their managers and employees are incompetent, and I have witnessed them multiple times trying to take advantage of international students. Our current apartment was not ready by the date they gave us and they are ending our lease a week early when we are paying a full month's rent, and telling us we have to pay another full month's rent to stay for the full month - CRAZY! May 2017: If I could give then 0 stars I would. They have been the least accommodating of any place I have every lived. They kept moving back our move in date and when my roommates and I finally moved in the apartment was not ready at all and it was supposed to be newly renovated. Things are constantly breaking and when they are "fixed" they only break again. The Wifi and AC are both horrible. The management is they worst and they don't try and help you at all. They lied to us on multiple occasions and never give you a straight answer. Review from 5/30/17 on Google

Apr 2017: They never pick up their phones and never answer emails. The wifi goes out a lot, which makes no sense because any other apartment I've lived in doesn't have this problem. The apartments are old and smell kind of weird. They are cheaper($643) than other alternatives close to campus but it's definitely not worth it. The only nice thing about this is that the orbit is literally right outside of my unit. Review from 4/29/17 on Google
Dec 2016: I have friends that live at Gateway at Tempe and all I can say is WOW. This place is amazing with a great pool and awesome gym. My friends will have to start charging me rent because I'm there so often. I never want to leave! Review from 12/30/16 on Google
Dec 2016: Horrible service! I dialed the emergency maintenance line twice and never received a call back. I tried contacting the management office multiple time during office hours but the staff never turned the phones over from the answering service. The office staff cannot provide bad service as they provide no service whatsoever. A monkey could provide better service than these bozos. Review from 12/13/16 on Google
Nov 2016: Chase and Juliana are the best employees here so look for them when you come in. Its lit. Also, the speakers are tight at the pool. Review from 11/20/16 on Google
May 2016: Honestly, I've lived in dorms that give better service than this place. don't be fooled by the new renovations-the management is horrible and the apartments are very low quality. The apartment they show you at the beginning of the move in are not the same you receive. The manager, Chelsea, is nice until you bring up a problem to her. When I first moved in, our apartment literally smelt like something died. There were multiple holes in the wall, a beat-up refrigerator, and a broken washing/drying machine. It took weeks to actually figure out was the horrible smell in the apartment- there was literally NOODLES in our wall! Disgusting! It took about a few months for maintenance staff to come in and fix everything in our apartment. Review from 5/22/16 on Google
May 2016: I've been living at Gateway for 2 years so far and I personally love it. Living in the gated community makes everyone feel super safe. Recently the new management has taken over and are completely renovating the gym as well as the outdoor grilling areas. Being at such a close proximity to ASU Gateway is a no doubt the best choice in student living. Review from 5/3/16 on Google
Nov 2015: XXXX place, trust me please never rend a room of gateway. As an international student. I'm already XXXX angry now. If the star can be zero, I will choose zero. After my two months live in gateway finish. I'll never comeback again. NEVER! Review from 11/6/15 on Google
Sep 2015: I would honestly give this place 0 stars if I could. I've been living here for almost a month now and the amount of problems I've already had scares me for the rest of the year. First of all, when I've first move in this apartment was already a mess. The old tenets left be hide so much stuff, the apartment was a complete mess. Also when I moved in I wanted to take a shower but the hot water did not work and as soon as I put a towel on the towel rack it broke. I decided to make a maintenance request which did not go through until three weeks and three visits to the office later. I had to get a temporary key which one of the workers told me it would last for three weeks but ended up only lasting a day. Review from 9/30/15 on Google
Aug 2015: My advice is never never never never never come here -business center is rubbish, horrible b/w printer which ruin everything because of the third party ink. -No model apartment to show. -the apartment is complete dirty and crappy. -everything in the apartment is ages old and break when you touch it. -gym is old and horrible, many things are missing and broken. -super ultra bad staff services. -maintenance come to make the problem worse. -always found yourself stuck outside the complex because the doors programing shutdown. -no enough bike racks. -high cost bad service. -The only reason I got here because I couldn't find any other place when I came here. -and the reason why I am staying here is because the long lease that you could never get rid of. (very strict lease) Review from 8/3/15 on Google
Aug 2014: The apartments themselves are actually nice, best value for your money compared to the other ones. However, the service and management there is TERRIBLE. I was left on hold three times so long that the phone disconnected. I would call back immediately and be put back on hold. Everyone that I would speak with would tell me different things, no one ever really seems to know what is happening or how to effectively handle problems. Review from 8-28-2014 on Google
Apr 2014: I lived there for 6 months. The price is much higher than their service! Our cooler needed repair in August for more than 3 days and they didn't send someone to even take a look at it! They didn't pay back my $150 deposit because of the cleaning stuff. But I have perfectly cleaned the apartment and there were nothing for them to do any more! When I talked to the managers, they simply said: "well, we trust our workers and they reported your apartment was not clean." It doesn't really worth the money you pay.
