Hi, Loading...

Oct 2019: I lived at El Diablo for three years, left for a couple years, then returned for two more years. The reason I came back? Gloria, and the community she tends to here. The grounds are kept clean and lush, with some wonderful plant life maintained throughout. During holidays such as Easter and Thanksgiving, when many graduate students would still be in town working, Gloria would often throw a poolside potluck. Her care and attention to the grounds and her tenants place El Diablo well above the other options in the area in my mind. Check it out if you're looking for a place, especially if you're a graduate student at ASU. It's a great launching point for your daily commute, by bike, light rail, or car. Review from Google
Sep 2019: Nothing but great things to say about these apartments. I enjoyed my unit and my time here for 3 years. It is a quiet, gated community and my unit was bug free the whole time which were 2 huge things for me. The real gem at El Diablo is having Gloria there. She is absolutely one of the best people walking the earth. I am grateful to get to know her over these years; living here was just an added bonus to making her acquaintance. If there is vacancy here, DONT hesitate. Review from Google
Jul 2019: Lived here few months ago, I had seen few homeless sleeping in the complex and some of them looking inside apartments, some just hanging around the parking lot. Not secure at all anymore. Review from Google
Jul 2019: We've been here since Aug 4th last year. I really like it here! The apartment is so near to the light rail station which is only two stops away from ASU. So convinent for a student who doesn't own a car at the beginning. This place is safe as well as nice for any resident to live in. We've never lost any shipping parcels from Amazon or other online shops. Neighbors here are very friendly. We're so grateful for their help. The manager, Gloria, is a kind lady who cares about our situation and gives us really big help. We really apppreciate what we have experienced here. Every photo taken here. Every sunset seen from our patio. Every quiet night swimming in that pool. Those are all my precious memory. Finally, I just want to say that nothing in this world gonna be perfect. But you'd always look at the good side of things, right? You own your feelings. Review from Google
Jul 2019: Worst apartment ever. The manager, Gloria, pretends to be nice and smiles to everyone all the time. However, she is very mean and keeps you waiting in her office forever, talking with other people. At the end of lease, it will be extremely difficult to get your security deposit back. According to her standard, the floor should be as clean as new floor, otherwise you won't have a chance to get the deposit back. I hope you can think twice before choosing this apartment. I know that there are many Chinese tenants in this apartment. I am also a Chinese. I want to warn you in Chinese: 千万不要住这里! If you check her response to the review, you can realize that she will check the name who posted the review. She will be saying that I did not see a tenant living here with this name. Of course, no one will leave the real name here since we are international students who don't want to get troubles Review from Google

Dec 2018: Lived here for three years while I attended college, and of all the apartments I stayed in this was by far the best. The place is wonderful for the price and the management treats you like family. Gloria and her help love the tenants and take good care of the apartment grounds. When I first moved in they put in new carpets, paint, and appliances for me, so the whole place felt new. They also have a lot of plants and trees, so the apartment grounds look amazing. Caveat: pick an apartment away from the main road. I have had two apartments here, one next to the main gate and one farthest away from it. The one close to the main gate gets noise and pollution from the road and is not as well kept. As much as I would like to give this place 5 stars, this was a pretty big issue. Excluding this, I really liked living here and definitely recommend. Review from Google
Dec 2018: Beautiful landscaping has a heated pool. Nice staff Review from Google

May 2018: I spend one my of my darkest year in that complex. If you are an international student at asu just avoid going to that complex. Its better to live in the street rather there. The manager and the ppl there at the office would use the fact that your not american and make living there really hard for you.. they doent listen to what ur saying and disrespect you. I left there two months prior to the end of my lease and payed the whole rent for those two months. They dont allow u to sublease or any thing else. I have a friend that unfortunately had signed the lease before we met. She is suffering too. They get worse every year. So just save your time and money and dont bother to go there. Its does not worth the trouble and the behavior you get from apt managers. Review from Google
Jan 2018: Great place to live at, quiet, nicely kept garden, right next to the light rail station and Gloria the manager is very welcoming. Review from Google
Jun 2017: never expect there someone in leasing office. the fats women are worser than none. Review from Google
Sep 2016: Transportation: 1 minute walk to the light railway station and a bus stop. ASU is just two LTR stops from here, and food city is just one stop away. You can take the bus 81 to the Tempe marketplace. You can also ride your bike to the food city and ASU. Environment: The apartment is like a garden. It is not in big scale and you will have quiet, friendly neighbors. Manager: We all love Gloria. She is a really nice lady and takes good care of everything. Moreover, my roommate and I pay the lease online. Water is covered. I can not think of anywhere else fit me better. Review from Google
May 2016: I have been living here 2 years now. It is as good as it gets for a grad student. The apartment is right next to light rail and orbit buses so getting to school is no problem. This is a small complex, neighbours are quiet and peaceful. The houses are in good condition and all the appliances are running properly. Garden is well tended and is gorgeous with lots of flowers and birds. There is one thing that sets this place apart from all the other places around: Gloria the apartment manager. She taking such good care of the place and her tenants. I feel like no matter how good I describe her, I would do her injustice. You just need to live here to understand. EDIT after 3 years: I am soon moving away from here. Been living in the same apartment for the last 5 years. Can not recommend it enough. Review from Google
Feb 2016: I lived there for two years. Good management, and nice apartment, and the gardening is awesome. The building might not be as fancy as other luxury apartments, but it is decent. Also the location is great no matter if you have car or not. Review from 2/27/16 on Apartment Ratings
Aug 2014: I loved this place, the landlady Gloria is phenomenal. The grounds are beautiful and its in such a good location for a student. I'm so sad I had to leave! I wanted to stay, but my roommate had a dog. Review from 8-25-2014 on Google
Aug 2014: I lived in this lovely complex for four years. Gloria, the complex manager, is an awesome lady. She devotes a lot to El Diablo and she really cares for each person lives in there. El Diablo is located in the middle of convenience. You can reach to Tempe Market Place to its north, Sprout Farmers Market and Trader Joe's are to the south, to the east you can go to Mekong Asian supermarket, to the west is ASU campus. Light rail station is only five minutes walk on Apache Blvd. Free bus is available on the Hayden Ln. Perfect place for ASU freshmen. Review from Google
Apr 2009: Gloria, the landlord, keeps the grounds looking so nice and well kept and knows every tenant by name. The place is safe from what i've seen and I've lived there 3 years and have never had a problem. The place looks really nice compared to the area because there are a lot of landscape, trees, plants, etc. Apartments are a bit older and outdated, but not bad for if you're a college student. Overall a great place. Only downside is the office seems to rarely be open. Review from Google
