Oct 2019: Camden Sotelo was such a beautiful property, after apartment hunting with 2 kids we had almost gave up our search!
Thankfully We got the warmest welcome from Lexi they’re leasing consultant, she was absolutely amazing, great with kids and very very helpful making it really easy for us to apply and making sure we had all our answers before leaving .
We haven’t got that great customer service in our whole time apartment hunting.

Sep 2019: I've been living here for 6 months now and the place is nice and quite but I've been dealing with a leaking A/C for 4 months and after 5-6 requests the issue hasn't been fixed. I think you'll find newer/better places for what you'll pay here (currently $1411). The tenants are very nice but on the other hand the staff is not very welcoming. They force you to pay for trash valet but they're unreliable and I tend to take out my trash even though I'm paying $400/year. won't renew. Review from Google
Sep 2019: Nice apartment at an okay price. Office staff turn over is high. Lexi stands out. She has a noticeable attitude problem and does not make you feel welcome at your home— where she works. Living at Camden Sotelo has been truly delightful so far.
Our apartment is spacious, high end and beautiful, we have a massive wrap around balcony that is shaded and comes with tons of storage space, the grounds are well maintained and the leasing office is always stocked with things like water/ dog treats/ hot chocolate/ etc. It's amazing having assigned underground parking (which is almost almost unheard of in Tempe), and office staff is friendly and attentive.
I'd like to address a few things that have been mentioned in the negative reviews:
Car Vandalism and break ins - This was an ongoing issue when we first moved in. I guess we just got lucky with the timing, but a few weeks after our arrival the management team had installed security cameras in the garages. There haven't been any issues since and I feel like my car is safe Review from Google

Mar 2019: Camden Sotelo is a such a fun, beautiful place to live. My neighbors are great, the office and maintenance are top notch. Everything is really clean and I love the onsite parking garage. Close to shopping, the airport, and nightlife in Old Town. Go see Tomas in the office, he’s the best and will make you feel right at home! Mar 2019: Guest parking is abysmal at best, if you’re not there before 5 good luck finding a spot. Threaten to tow on weekdays if your car is in a spot in front of visitors center. Jan 2019: My girlfriend and I have been living in Camden Sotelo for over 4 months. I have to say this place is absolutely amazing! The office staff is the biggest reason I love this place. Tomás is THE best office staff I have met, anywhere. He even brought a care package for our cat a few weeks after moving in!
The pool area is beautiful, and there is even corn-hole in the pool area. The gym is great for daily workouts. Beautiful walking areas within the complex with green grass and some dog parks. There are even doggy waste areas. At my old apartment we had these waste areas but nobody used them. At Camden Sotelo, I haven't seen any waste in the grass! The residents of this community are always friendly and social and say "Hi" and "How are you doing?" Camden has it’s fair share of crime, just as any apartment complex does. Same thing as if you were to own a house. Since it is so close to Downtown Tempe, we do get our fair share of suspicious people coming by. I grew up in an area where crime was an everyday occurrence and the crime that Camden Sotelo gets is not even comparable to what my husband and I have been through. We haved had our car stolen, tires slashed, etc., in the previous area we lived in.
All in all, I’d recommend this as a good place to live. They do put emphasis on Review from GoogleJul 2018: Like most residents, the idea of moving into a new apartment and community is exciting. I was very excited until I moved in.
Camden Sotelo has to have the worst communication ever. They expect you as a resident to go out your way to find things out yourself. Knowing good and well on their end they can make things easier by communicating with you. Even if you want to go out your way to communicate with them, they never answer their phone EVER! Or EVER in the office! In regards to calling them, I am always transferred automatically to the corporate line, and when I speak to corporate about my questions or concerns they always have to end it with “Call you apartment communityâ€. First, you're forced to pay for Valet Waste - a $32/month service that takes your trash from your door to the dumpster (but not holidays or weekends!) If you happen to accidentally leave your trash can out when you leave for work, you'll promptly receive a notice and threat of a fine. However, when Valet Waste neglects pickups (which is frequent), nothing happens and you're stuck taking your trash out on your own, while still being required to pay for the service.
Noise is also an issue - the units clearly haven't been properly soundproofed. I've received multiple noise complaints (while not doing anything too crazy during the day) and it's incredibly easy to hear music or other noises from many of my surrounding units.
